The RacingLine upper and lower Twin Dogbone Mount Insert is one of the most affordable and transformative upgrades you can do to your MQB/MQB Evo car. By slipping both RacingLine Twin Dogbone Inserts into the voids of your factory lower engine mount you will stiffen the whole location of the drivetrain greatly to give a much tighter, sharper, more responsive feeling to your car. Crucially, the two-piece upper and lower inserts of the RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert eliminates the bending forces that can cause damage and ultimately failure if just one single insert is fitted. The RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert limits the compliance of the lower engine mount by filling the large voids with our two Billet Inserts. All of the forward/backwards rocking movement in your drivetrain is controlled by this Lower Mount – fitment of the RacingLine Twin Dogbone Insert adds strength to the drivetrain, helping to protect from future wear and breakages. The Twin Dogbone Insert uses not one but two precision machined billet inserts to avoid the damaging bending moment that comes from fitment of a single insert. Many companies offer either the upper or the lower mount insert alone – we advise very strongly against fitting just a single insert. With a single insert, the twisting moment force on the mount becomes significant, leading to almost-certain failure. That’s why RacingLine only offer the Twin Dogbone Insert, keeping the forces balanced top and bottom through the mount and remove the risk of twisting forces destroying your insert. The risk of wheel-hop under hard acceleration is almost eliminated as the whole engine and ‘box assembly is firmly prevented from juddering when wheelspin occurs and through aggressive gearchanges – especially valuable on FWD cars. Fitment of the Twin Inserts will only add a minimal NVH increase to the car’s characteristics, but most keen drivers love the sense that they are more ‘connected’ to their car, and the gentle ‘growl’ that the mount conveys. Each Twin Dogbone Insert start life as a billet of T6061 Aluminum, before being precision CNC-machined into shape. Finished in RacingLine’s trademark black anodized finish for durability over many years. Easy, straightforward installation designed to be fitted without subframe removal means it just takes minutes.
